While I was home for Thanksgiving, I had the opportunity to go on the Taste History Culinary Tour with the South Florida Bloggers. The Taste History Culinary Tour traveled to various restaurants, markets, and artist galleries throughout West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach. On the tour I had the pleasure of meeting artist and designer Amanda Johnson. Her paintings and pillows were very captivating. Her use of colors and light releases positive energy into any room or wardrobe.
Amanda Johnson receives inspiration from nature and the ocean. She begins painting with a vision, mood, and selection of colors. She often adds layers of silver, gold, and copper leaf. After painting onto a canvas the painting is then photographed and made into a repeating design on the computer. Once the final image is ready, it goes onto a piece of fabric. That fabric can be used for luxury pillows and fine clothing. After seeing her pillows at the gallery, I have added a few to my Christmas list. Check out some of Amanda Johnson’s home decor, art, magnets, and other merchandise here.
I hope you enjoy her work as much as I do!
